Hike a Million Challenge
Put on your hiking shoes and let’s save the parks! Nature Valley is encouraging fans to participate in the Summer of a Million Miles Challenge. Well, Nature Valley… Challenge accepted.
The hike isn’t just to look great this summer, it’s actually in support of the National Park Foundation. Download the MapMyHike app, join the Million Miles Challenge, and take your family on a beautiful hike. If the app and Nature Valley reaches one million miles hiked collectively, Nature Valley will donate $250,000 to the National Park Foundation. Don’t freak out, you have until August 31st to complete the challenge.
This isn’t just a ‘let’s feel fantastic this summer’ challenge… there are prizes! Now we are talking! You can earn app rewards like badges, but the cherry on top is one lucky winner will win the grand prize of a trip for two to a National Park!
You’ve read this far and already thought of 762 reasons why you can’t go hiking. Don’t worry, if you still want to participate without perspiring, you can donate and be in the running for a chance to win a hiking experience with your friends and Dax Shepard. I wonder if Kristen Bell will tag along. You can donate here through Omaze.
The National Park Foundation has been protecting parks across the states for the last 50 years. Their work stretches from the Rocky Mountains to the Blue Ridge Parkway, to beautiful rivers and trails. It takes a lot to preserve the scenic places that are sometimes in our backyards, and without love and support, these places won’t be around for future generations. Most of these parks are on the top of my must-see list!
I love Nature Valley products. They’re delicious and a healthy snack when you’re on the go. On my latest hike as I logged my miles, I stopped to enjoy the crunch. It’s nice to know that a simple hike and a simple snack can lead to so much support for places we enjoy.
