A Fashion Statement
I’m sure you’ve seen the ads on Instagram. The cutest outfits perfect for any occasion. I kept seeing them and thought, OK, another set of mass-produced, low quality, chemical-smelling clothes. No, thank you.
Wow, was I wrong! MICAS is not your average IG ad website. It’s actually legitimate with great quality clothes for affordable prices. I was so glad I was able to learn more about the brand because it is my new go-to.
The 2-year-old brand holds high ethical and sustainable standards. I always get people asking me if I’ve ordered clothes from different brands and I get so excited when I’m asked about MICAS. Yes, girl, run, don’t walk!
My sister recently ordered a huge haul and had forgotten to add her discount code during checkout. She contacted MICAS support team and they immediately responded and not only said they could apply the discount, but found an even better discount for her, saving her a lot more. If that is not the greatest customer service, I don’t know what is.
The pieces look amazing online, but are they really that great in person? Yes, yes, and yes. I received two gorgeous dresses that I was excited to take to Hawaii with me. Talk about the perfect backdrop!
The Oil Painting Satin Backless Slit Midi Dress was a dream to put on. The fabric feels rich, yet still very lightweight. Because I was on vacation, I used it as a fancy coverup to go between beach-side and a nice lunch. It worked perfectly. The colors are vibrant and there are no sheer areas on the dress.
One of my favorite aspects of the dress is the back. I love that the strap going across was adjustable, making it work for any body type, including narrow or broad shoulders. The dress straps are also adjustable. The dress has very little to no stretch, so if you’re in between sizes, I would recommend sizing up.
The next dress was the Tie Dye Mesh Slit Sleeveless Maxi Dress. This dress was a bit more modest and perfect for a nice dinner. I loved the stretch it offered, because it hugged me in all the right places.
The fabric felt amazing. It is a beautiful silhouette with a mesh overlay, adding texture and dimension to the dress. I also loved the rouching on the side, giving the whole look a beautiful shape even before putting it on.
Aside from great wardrobe pieces, the brand takes their social responsibility very seriously. MICAS isn’t a – mass-produced, fast0fashion, run of the mill, find the same item anywhere – type of brand. The team uses the small batch production model, avoiding creating unnecessary items that result in wasted materials.
MICAS’ diverse team of designers use precision tailoring and attention to detail to create quality items. Although the pieces are trendy and downright perfect, the brand has a unique identity with their gorgeous fabrics and patterns.
MICAS is all about female empowerment.
