That Kismet Glow
I am obsessed with having tan legs. For some reason, the rest of my body has a nice tan year round, but my legs are stubborn and refuse to take in the warmth of the sun. Let’s be honest, I also don’t have the patience to sit under the sun for hours, and let’s not forget about a thing called skin cancer. Spray tans are fun for a minute, then they get blotchy and your money goes to waste.

Aside from her focus on beauty and fashion, Caitlin was personally affected by the leading cancer in America, causing her to partner with the LSO Foundation, an organization that helps bring awareness to the prevention of skin cancer.
“A girl I attended college with passed away, and the foundation was created in her honor,” says Caitlin. “It was a perfect partnering to donate 10% of the net proceeds of our safe tan, Opulent, to this organization. I used tanning beds when I was young and naive, when we knew nothing about sun safety. It could be any of us!”

“I spent time with rollers in my hair, deep conditioning it, and really setting it to look great, but I never did any prep work for my skin prior to makeup. Hydration is major and yet we never really focus on that, except applying a moisturizer,” explains Caitlin. “So I had an idea of pre-makeup masks that really delivered a noticeable difference. I started with eye masks because under eye bags plague us all, and then a lip mask because nothing is worse than having a gorgeous lip color with cracked lips.”
Yes, yes, and yes, Caitlin! This girl boss was even featured on CNBC’s Billion Dollar Buyer, where billionaire businessman Tilman Fertitta took a chance on Kismet.
“I still can't believe I did it!” says Caitlin about her experience. “It was one of those things where you just leaped and didn't look down and obviously it worked out. The show was wonderful and exhausting, but it really brought my business to where it is today and I am forever grateful to CNBC and Tilman Fretitta for taking a chance on my little brand.”
