Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

The Perfect Blend

The Perfect Blend

When I found out I was pregnant very early on, I decided to completely cut out caffeine. Sure, they say one cup a day is fine, but why risk it? I was never a fan of coffee, I honestly only drank half a cup because I had a 5 am wake-up call everyday. My true love is tea. It makes me feel so good and cozy.

I went through my extensive tea collection and realized every single one was loaded with caffeine. I was pretty bummed because I love fancy teas with various flavors. So I went to my trusted Google and came across Mountain Mel’s

I was so shocked to learn that Mountain Mel’s makes tea specifically for pregnant mamas! Did the tea gods just shine down on me?!

The Mommy-to-Be Pregnancy Support Blend is my absolute favorite. I love that when I open the canister, I can see and smell all the glorious naturalness of the organic tea. It’s actually pretty incredible because it supports mamas during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding. The all natural herbs in the blend are beneficial for both mama and baby. It also helps tone the uterine muscles to get ready for delivery. Umm.. I’m about a week away from delivery, so I’ll take 5 cups, please. The taste is so delicious, too.

Mountain Mel’s even has a blend for the baby called Peaceful Baby. It’s supposed to be great for gas relief and even teething babies. It's not only for babies, though. The all natural ingredients make it safe for everyone in the family. I’m going to have this one on standby.

One thing I am pretty nervous about is breastfeeding. I’ve heard so many horror stories that it has my anxiety really high. Mountain Mel’s has come up with The Milk Lady’s tea concoction. It’s supposed to help soothe nerves and is loaded with the right herbs to get the milk flowing. It contains all natural ingredients like fennel seed, lemon balm, and rosehips.

Aside from all the delicious teas, Mountain Mel’s also has a fantastic Essential Salve I’ve been using on my growing belly to help with the itchiness and on the massive amounts of bug bites I’ve been getting all summer. It’s also great for cuts and burns. It’s all natural so I don’t have to worry about the product going into my pores.

The brand even has a great lip balm I’ve been using non-stop. The ChocolateMint Lip Lovin’ lip balm has been my go-to all summer. It’s, you guessed it, all natural and made with sun protective oils to protect the pucker from any sun damage.

I love everything Mountain Mel’s has to offer, but my favorite part is their mission for sustainability.  The brand donates 1% of their annual sales to non-profits through 1% for The Planet. They also donate proceeds and time to Oregon Wild, Friends of Outdoor School, and United Plant Savers.

Everything Mountain Mel’s does and sells has been thought out and has so much heart behind it. This isn’t your typical brand that is in it for the money, they actually care.

Passionate about nature, sustainability and herbal medicine, Mel’s mission is to share the abundant power of plants and respectfully preserve them for generations to come.
