Simply MadeGood
As if you didn’t know yet, I love to snack, especially when I am working. Rather than eating large meals, I snack every hour and one of my all-time favorite snacks is MadeGood.
I used to buy the MadeGood Granola Minis from Costco, but since Costco is a tease, they stopped selling it like they do all my other favorite items. The minis were either chocolate chip or mixed berry and were perfect when I was craving chocolate or something sweet. Then I discovered the Chocolate Banana Granola Minis. I love chocolate and I love bananas, and frankly, I love mixing the two. These little babies are my new favorite mini.
What I didn’t realize is that MadeGood had a whole variety of healthy snacks. I tried the Caramel Crispy Square and I think I ate 4 in one sitting. It’s like an homage to a regular rice crispy treat, but the caramel and healthy nutrients from vegetables makes it so much better. With only 20 calories from fat, I’m completely hooked. On a normal day, one square is the perfect size.
It’s as if MadeGood is reading my mind because sometimes I want, no scratch that, I need cookies in my life. I can go maybe a couple of days just picturing them before I snap and buy loads of sugar filled cookies that end up making me feel guilty. MadeGood created Soft Baked Mini Cookies and I am living for these right now. The double chocolate feeds all of my cravings (even before baby), and it’s a mere 60 calories from fat. One regular chocolate chip cookie has about 50 calories, the MadeGood calories are for the entire bag. Even though they had been sitting in the little pouch for a bit of time, the cookies were still extremely soft and delicious.
A couple of years ago, I had a lot of stomach issues and after loads of testing, we realized it was from nuts. I had been eating nut-filled granola bars every single day, and my body had enough. I love that MadeGood has their Apple Cinnamon Granola Bar which, like all of their products, is nut-free. I am so grateful that a company has put allergies into consideration not just for one of their products, but for the entire lineup. Also, the Cinnamon Bar is heavenly with the perfect amount of sweetness and that hint of cinnamon that makes it so good. I’ve also tried the Chocolate Chip bars, and they’re just as good. Next up, I’m going to try the sweet and salty… yum!
One of my favorite things about MadeGood, aside from their delicious snacks, is that their products don’t contain any peanuts, tree nuts, gluten or wheat, soy, dairy, egg, sesame, or fish and shellfish, and their facility is completely nut-free. These are the most common types of allergens, especially in children, and all of the MadeGood snacks are safe to consume. I’ve been out of the elementary school game for a while now, but I’ve heard parents can’t pack lunches that contain peanuts or any common allergens just in case kids share a snack. MadeGood started with 3 siblings who wanted to share their love for good snacks, and how much they care for families is evident in their products.
MadeGood doesn’t just care about people like me who love to snack, they care about the entire environment. They are a Zero Waste company and divert a minimum of 90% of waste for reuse, recycling, composting, and recovery for use in nature or the economy. MadeGood also donates to 1% for the Planet and The Hospital for Sick Children, Canada’s most research-intensive hospital and the largest center dedicated to improving children’s health. Bravo, MadeGood!
