Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Holistic Hair

In case you hadn’t noticed, I went to the blonde side this summer.  I was in between colors and decided to go from that orange hue from last fall to the blonde ombre.  Yes, I am having more fun. Although, I started noticing my hair was breaking off at the ends, felt extremely dry, and had zero volume.  It’s all fun in photos, but it was turning into a broken ends dry mess behind the scenes. This is what I get when my hair stylist says we can’t go that blonde at once and I push her to “go for it!”

I’ve always had very soft tresses.  So soft that I had to put texturizer in it to give it some life.  But after my last color journey, it was extremely dull, and that’s an understatement.  I always look for hair products with organic ingredients, especially when it comes to my shampoo and conditioner.  That’s the first step to making my hair healthy again.

I am always researching for the best hair care products, so when I came across Maple Holistics, I was intrigued simply from the name.  I’m into all things holistic. It’s not just one thing, it’s a way of life. Maple Holistics focuses on all-natural, cruelty-free, and premium products.

I was so excited to try their Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo.  Not only is the shampoo enriched with ingredients like apple cider vinegar, sunflower oil, argan oil, and botanical keratin, but it actually adds volume, too.  And that smell! It smells delicious, natural, and not like artificial fragrance, like most shampoos.

After one use, I felt the difference… I’m not exaggerating.  My hair felt lighter, looked shinier and I felt like it came back to life.  I love that this shampoo is sulfate and paraben-free, because I can use it every time I wash my color-treated hair.

Next, it was time to condition! I honestly didn’t even feel like I needed to use conditioner since the shampoo did so much, but I went with it anyway.  I used the Maple Holistics Silk18 Conditioner.  They’re not joking about the “silk” in the name because whoa baby, my hair was soft!  I couldn’t stop touching my strands because of how it felt after the conditioner. This stuff also helps with my brutal split ends and makes strands stronger.

The Silk18 Conditioner has 18 silk amino acids like shea butter, jojoba oil, and organic pomegranate… this is starting to sound delicious.  The vanilla extract in the conditioner makes it smell heavenly. I wish it came in a bottle to just spray and go, because I wouldn’t mind smelling like this all day.

I wouldn’t be talking about Maple Holistics just because their products are amazing; the people behind the brand are amazing, too.  Headquartered in New Jersey, Maple Holistics gives back to various local charities helping environmental causes and animal rights movements.  They have worked with The Conservation Fund, EWG, The School for Children with Hidden Intelligence, Clean the World Foundation, and NAAF.

Maple Holistics also has their own scholarship program.  The Maple Holistics Natural Scholarship Program recognizes students with a passion for environmental awareness, natural health, and personal care, and gives them the opportunity to further their education.

I can’t say enough good things about Maple Holistics.  I definitely want to try their other products because this shampoo and conditioner combo is a win.  Their massage oils look amazing, so I’ll need a partner to test those out. I’m still in self-care mode, people!

While Maple Holistics seeks to provide as many consumers with effective, natural products as possible, that isn’t our only mission. We view it as a means to an end as far as furthering our true goal of making the world as natural and caring a place as possible.
