Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Simply Felicitous

I can see the grossest thing and not have any type of reaction, but the minute a weird scent enter my sense of smell, my gag reflexes kick in.  Cute, right?

Combined food scents hit me hard.  I’m a picky eater, so even if it just smells like onions, ew.  With that being said, one of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving.  I am SO excited to get together with family and friends and stuff my face with mashed potatoes, ham, and turkey.  Most families bake a homemade pie and that scent is so delicious, but not my fam. We hurry to the store early Thanksgiving morning and buy a pie.  Easy peasy. So, the house doesn’t smell like baked delicious goodness, it smells like 10 different foods combined, which can get a little… strange.

Food aside, the worst possible smell for me is the dirty laundry basket.  Dun Dun Dun. It can sometimes get atrocious. Get a couple of people, have them work out daily, then throw the clothes into the laundry basket.  By the end of the week, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

One of the biggest gifts to mankind is scented sachets you can place in every nook and cranny in your house, car, baby bag, puppy stroller (yep, stroller), and so on.  I am obsessed with the scent collection from Floral Simplicity.  They nailed the holiday scents without it being too much.  You can light a candle, sure, but can you carry a lit candle around with you, or have it in your car at all times? You can, but don’t.

Floral Simplicity has a line of so many different scents for different seasons, I can’t keep up.  My favorite is the Pumpkin Spice. Yummy! It smells incredible, but it’s not overpowering.  Hide it in the bottom of your laundry basket, and I dare you not to smile every time you get ready to do laundry.

If you’re obsessed with holiday lattes from Starbucks, you’re going to love the Caramel Latte scent. Seriously, Floral Simplicity isn’t messing around.

Another delicious one is Winter Cheer.  It reminds me of the holidays with an aroma of pine cones and Christmas tree… pure relaxation.

If you want something with a fresher, daily feel, go with Sea Side for a beach vibe, or Honeysuckle in Bloom, Peony, or Sage & Citrus for a floral aroma.  All of these can be hidden in your clothes drawers, at the bottom of a trash bin, or even in your vacuum bag! Imagine everytime you open the trash can or vacuum the house, you’re hit with a fresh scent. Your guests are going to wonder if you clean your house every hour.

Aside from the scents, one of my favorite things about Floral Simplicity is their commitment to give back.  Ten percent of all profits are donated to various charities and humanitarian efforts.  They give directly to a local charity or actually do research to find which charities benefit most from donations. All of their products are made by Americans in the US, and use recycled and biodegradable materials.

“Giving back is an important part of our business and it is one of the strongest factors in starting the site.  We had the option to distribute to large retail chains but decided to pass the savings directly to the people who need it most.”
