Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

It's Time to SoundOff!

It's Time to SoundOff!

I’m so tired of worrying about not being accepted.  I’m also tired of hearing about people with hearts of gold who go through this every single day.  Not being included, not being accepted, being judged, and having their freedom taken away.

When I came across SoundOff, I was immediately intrigued.  They have a solid “don’t give a you know what”- attitude, and I LOVE it.  They inspire me to be me and I hope to be able to emulate their passion to be more inclusive and not give a damn.

SoundOff’s pieces are pretty epic.  I had to showcase the Don’t F**K With My Freedom Tote.  A disclaimer: the actual product is NOT blurred (I have to be mindful of younger readers here).  I carry the tote around proudly. It means what it says. It’s a “sound off” to the rise of oppression of the outsider.

When I saw the Savage Beast Sweatshirt, I knew I had to have it.  Since it’s been so cold in LA (under 70 degrees IS cold), I have a new obsession with sweaters.  When I first put on the Savage Sweatshirt, I refused to take it off. The material is like butter on my skin and I can wear this every single day.  I love the fierce tiger patch right in the middle to show I’m not to be messed with.

The Savage Beast Sweatshirt is more than the comfiest thing on this planet, it has an actual purpose.  It’s a graphic celebration of the punk movement and its inclusion of people of all races, genders, ethnicities, and orientations.  For anyone who has ever felt like an outsider, as many of us have, this sweatshirt says “We’re not going to take it anymore.” It’s a call to unleash your inner tiger in the face of oppression.  Rawr!

I also love the SoundOff Headphone Beanie. It’s their headphones logo, emphasizing the need to SoundOff. It fits great, feels good, and I feel empowered wearing it.

SoundOff’s mission is to promote acceptance.  They donate 10% of their annual profits to non-profits fighting the fight in voter education/registration, gun violence, and eliminating inequalities. The brand’s campaigns like Vote Your Veto, Warrior, and Dope Soul, give back to various organizations.

Gun violence resonates with me, unfortunately, but the bigger fight here is voter education.  We have to be educated, regardless of which way we sway, because education is key.

Freedom.  Inclusion.  Acceptance. Don’t take it for granted.
