Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

Coffee with Heart

Coffee with Heart

I thought I could get away without drinking coffee.  I usually wake up around 5 am, so it took a good week to realize… nope, not worth it.  Coffee is life and I need it to live!

Ever since we got our fancy-shmancy Ninja coffee maker, I love trying new brews.  It’s my new favorite pastime. I was so excited to try Just Love Coffee, straight out of one of my favorite places ever, Tennessee.

Just Love isn’t just packaged coffee sold online, it’s an experience.  They have cafes all over the south and parts of the midwest, selling real breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Now I’m craving a grilled chicken wrap.

I first tried the Just Love Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Natural light roast.  Hubs surprised me by making it one morning without telling me he switched things up.  I immediately loved the flavor with no creamer or sugar needed. I tasted some familiar flavors, but it wasn’t strong enough to pinpoint what they were.  Grape, cherry, and a whole lot of earthy. It was so delicious. I must say, I’m a medium roast kind of gal, so the light was a bit too light for an early morning wakeup call.  It would be perfect for a late-afternoon cup that won’t keep me up at night.

Having loved the flavor of the light roast, I was excited to try the medium roast.  The Just Love chocolate, raisin, winey African Skies medium roast is officially my favorite coffee.  Star-who? I could taste sweet flavors, but it didn’t overpower the actual coffee that was uplifted by its heavenly aroma.

These intricate coffee blends weren’t just googled and created on a whim.  Just Love CEO Rob Webb was inspired to create his vision when he was on a flight to Ethiopia to meet his and his wife Emily’s newly adopted daughters.  He realized how expensive it can be for some families to adopt, and soon after, he created a business modeled after love. Just Love Coffee has donated almost $500,000 to support families with the cost of adoption.

Just Love started as a crazy idea, but has grown to become a very successful franchise of coffee cafes with a lot of heart.  Today, anyone can set up a fundraiser through Just Love for adoption or any other non-profit organization on the coffee roasters’ website

Although I unfortunately don’t have any trips planned to Nashville anytime soon, I have to settle with ordering these delicious hand-roasted coffees online.  This actually works great, because a large portion of online orders go to their giving back initiative. I have to make it out there soon to try the food, though!

“You could say our story is one based on love; love of locally, hand-roasted coffee, love of people, and love of our community.”
